An informal board oversees programming, member admissions, and the planned transition to 501(c)(3) status. Additional officers join as the collaborative grows.
Dr. Carrie Leff
Founded the collaborative in 2026 to give southeast Michigan a peer venue for the questions that don't fit cleanly into a 20-minute visit. Practices midlife and reproductive health; certified by the Menopause Society.
Dr. Amy Heeringa
Partners with the President on programming, helps shape each meeting's topic and case selection, and stands in for the chair when needed.
Dr. Karen Berris
The Director of Membership oversees member check-in at meetings, maintains the membership directory, and ensures member information remains current. This role promotes membership growth and engagement by welcoming new members, encouraging participation, and supporting member retention.
Dr. Mary Cornelius
The Education Chair develops the educational program for each meeting by identifying relevant topics, recruiting expert speakers, and coordinating all educational content. This role ensures each session delivers practical, evidence-based learning that supports the Collaborative's mission to improve care for women in midlife.
The collaborative operates informally in 2026. As we transition to 501(c)(3) status, we will update our board positions. Reach out to Dr. Leff.
